Today much of green energy is subsidized to compete with existing fossil fuels. But with political instability, the continuing financial crises, combined with the increasing lack of taxes from fossil fuels and the shift towards renewable energy, public subsidy will ultimately be affected in the future. Favor will be on those energy alternatives that are sustainable from both a financial and environmental point of view
