Solar thermal installation ensures a fixed low energy price in Sæby

Also the citizens in Sæby now benefit from environmentally friendly heat to a low and stable price. Sæby District Heating searched for alternatives to natural gas for quite a while to meet the requirements regarding CO2 reduction and decided to establish a solar thermal installation.

The solar thermal energy plant with a dimension of 11.921 m2 is now in operation and will cover 7 % of the annual heat demand by producing 6.354 MWh annually.
